Cape Verde also in TravelMole's Top
10
Cape Verde is to be
amongst the 10 destinations most
sought-after by tourists in 2007,
according to projections from
international tourism company,
Travelmole. According to the
company’s website, a recent customer
survey showed that Cape Verde was
replacing the most sought-after
destination in 2006, which was Abu
Dhabi.
The list of 10 tourist destinations
for 2007 includes Cape Verde,
Bulgaria, Brazil, Vietnam, Croatia,
South Africa, England, China, the
United States and Morocco.
Tourism has been gaining increasing
importance for the Cape Verdean
economy and has been seen by the
government as the driving force
behind the country’s development
over the next few years.
A recent report from the Bank of
Cape Verde (BCV) showed that in 2005
tourist demand on the archipelago
had risen 26 percent, against a 4.7
percent rise in the previous year,
reaching revenues of around 87
million euros.
